SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health and safety, and
having been passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by
three-fifths of all the members elected to each of the two
Houses of the General Assembly of Maryland, the same
shall take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 723
(House Bill 729)
AN ACT to add eighty (80) new sections to the Code of
Public Local Laws of Anne Arundel County (1947 Edi-
tion), being Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland, title "Anne Arundel County", said new
sections to be known as Sections 341-1 to 341-80, inclu-
sive, to follow immediately after Section 341 thereof and
to be under the new sub-title "Glen Burnie", incorporat-
ing the City of Glen Burnie, in Anne Arundel County,
as a municipal corporation, providing generally for the
powers and duties of said town and of its officers and
employees, relating generally to the government of said
town and submitting this Act to a referendum.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That eighty (80) new sections be and they are
hereby added to the Code of Public Local Laws of Anne
Arundel County (1947 Edition), being Article 2 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Anne Arundel
County", said new sections to be known as Sections 341-1
to 341-80, inclusive, to follow immediately after Section
341 thereof and to be under the new sub-title "Glen
Burnie", and to read as follows:
ARTICLE I
341-1. The citizens of the Town of Glen Burnie, in Anne
Arundel County, Maryland, are a body corporate by the
name of the City of Glen Burnie, with all the powers and
