generally amending the alcoholic beverages laws applica-
ble in Harford County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That Sections 66 (e), 112 and 154 (i) of Article
2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition),
title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-titles "Revocation and
Suspension of Licenses", "Restrictions" and "County Dis-
pensaries", be and they are hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, and that Sections 54 (f-1) and 120 (c)
be and they are hereby added to said Article, said new
sections to follow respectively after Sections 54 (f) and
120 (b) and to be under the sub-titles, respectively, "Appli-
cation for License" and "Restrictions", and all to read as
follows:

54.

(f-1) (Harford County. ) In Harford County the Liquor
Control Board shall have power to waive the two years
residence requirement contained in Section 53 hereinabove
in any case in which a person applying for the transfer of
a license of a going business is the bona fide purchaser and
proprietor thereof if said person can submit to the satis-
faction of the Board proper persons who know him and
can vouch for his good character or if he can submit other
evidence that he is a fit and proper person to hold the said
license. The Board also is authorized and empowered to
waive the two years residence requirement in the case of
persons who have owned the land or building for said two-
year period on which or in which the licensed premises
are located. In any such case provided for in this sub-
section, the Liquor Control Board of Harford County is
authorized and empowered to improve
APPROVE a license
under this Article to a person or persons who have not
actually resided within Harford County for said two-year
period.

Applications for seven day licenses in Harford County
shall be published not less than ten days prior to being

acted upon by the Liquor Control Board in order to give

due notice of the pending application to the residents of
Harford County. Applications for said special seven day

licenses shall not be subject to any other requirements
provided for in this sub-title.
