437B and 437C, to follow immediately after Section 436
of said Code and to be under the new sub-title "Recrea-
tion Commission", providing for the creation of a Recrea-
tion Commission for Anne Arundel County EXCEPT
THE SIXTH ELECTION DISTRICT; the appoint-
ment, terms and salaries of the members of said Com-
mission; a secretary to said Commission; the powers and
duties of said Commission, and providing for the levy,
collection and disbursement of a special Recreation Tax
in Anne Arundel County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That four new sections be and they are hereby
added to the Code of Public Local Laws of Anne Arundel
County (1947 Edition), being Article 2 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Anne
Arundel County", said new section to be known as Sec-
tions 437, 437A, 437B and 437C, to follow immediately
after Section 436 of said Code, and to be under the new
sub-title "Recreation Commission", and all to read as
follows:

Recreation Commission

437. (a) There shall be a Recreation Commission for
Anne Arundel County consisting of six SEVEN members.
The members of the Recreation Commission first appointed
after the effective date of this Act shall be appointed AS
FOLLOWS, SIX by the members of the House of Delegates
of Maryland for Anne Arundel County AND ONE BY
THE SENATOR FROM ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY;
two of said members so appointed shall serve for a term
of one year, two of said members shall serve for a term
of two years and two THREE of said members shall serve
for a term of three years; and until their successors are
duly appointed and qualified. All subsequent appointments
of members of the Recreation Commission shall be made
by the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel County
who shall appoint two members each year to serve for a
term of three years. THE COUNTY SUPERINTENDENT
OF SCHOOLS SHALL BE AN EX OFFICIO MEMBER
OF THE COMMISSION.

(b) The members of the Recreation Commission shall
appoint a Supervisor of Recreation for Anne Arundel

County who shall serve as Chairman of said Commission.

(B) THE RECREATION COMMISSION SHALL AP-

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT OF A SUPERVISOR OF
