amended by Chapter 124 of the Laws of 1931 and to
enact in lieu thereof a new section to be known as Section
480 to follow immediately after Section 479 of said
Article, and to add two new sections to said Article, said
new sections to be known as Sections 480A and 480B
and to follow immediately after Section 480 enlarging
and extending the corporate limits of the town of Han-
cock, providing for the preparation of two plats of said
town by a surveyor registered in the State of Maryland,
one to be recorded in the Office of the Clerk of the Circuit
Court for Washington County and a copy thereof to be
admitted as evidence in all Courts within the State,
another to be kept by the Mayor and Council of Hancock,
and further providing for taxation for the annexed
territory.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 480 of Article 22 of the Code of
Public Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Washington
County", sub-title "Hancock" as said Section was amended
by Chapter 124 of the Laws of 1931 be and it is hereby
repealed and that a new section to be known as Section 480
to follow immediately after Section 479 of said Article be
and it is hereby enacted in lieu thereof and that two new
sections be and they are hereby added to said Article, said
new sections to be known as Sections 480A and 480B and
to follow immediately after Section 480, and all to read as
follows:
480. The taxable limits of the town of Hancock are de-
clared to be as follows: Beginning at a stone in Frey's
Hollow marking the end of the third line of the corporate
boundary as given in Chapter 124 of the Laws of 1931 and
recorded in the Office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court for
Washington County as Plat 287 and running thence with
the fourth line of said boundary North 67 degrees West
1700 feet more or less, to intersect the eastern boundary of
the tract deeded to R. S. Dillon, Jr. and recorded among the
Land Records of Washington County in Liber 218 folio
366, thence with four lines of said Dillon tract, North 24
degrees 30 minutes East 2020 feet, more or less, North 62
degrees 30 minutes West 40 feet, North 24 degrees 30
minutes East 44 feet, North 68 degrees 20 minutes East
1600 feet, more or less, to the property recorded in Liber
207 folio 231 and by an extension of the last line North 68
degrees 20 minutes East 430 feet, more or less, to a point
300 feet eastwardly from Pennsylvania Avenue; thence 1000
feet northeastwardly and parallel to and 300 feet from the
east marginal line of Pennsylvania Avenue Extended to a
