establishing the office of County Roads Engineer, and
defining the duties and powers thereof.

20. 19. To provide for the control of opening, grading,
construction, improvement, maintenance and repairing of
county roads, lanes, streets, alleys, avenues, appurtenant
structures and right-of-way construction, other public
rights-of-way including those dedicated for public use. Re-
quire bonds by corporate surety guaranteeing the comple-
tion of any work to be undertaken; issue permits and
charge fees.

21. 20. To fix the allowance or compensation to the Sheriff
or other person for boarding and keeping prisoners in the
County Jail.

22. 21. Provide for inspection and require notice of public
hearing before issuance of any license, permit or other
letters of authority and fix all charges and fees in connec-
tion with the issuance of any license, permit or other letters
of authority.

23. 22. Provide for the control, regulation and restraint of
dogs running at large in Prince George's County which
shall include but not be limited to licensing of all dogs,
fixing license fees, collecting and disposing of unlicensed
dogs, establishing dog pound, appointing pound keepers
and dog tax collectors.

24. 23. Provide for the collection and disposition of all
stray animals running at large in Prince George's County.

25. 24. Provide for the control and use of all B. B. rifles, air
rifles, guns, rifles, cannons, mortars, pistols and other fire-
arms and the control and use of all rifle ranges, skeet
shooting ranges and target practice areas, and to prevent
the sale and use of the above to minors.

26. 25. Provide for the regulation and control of all public
amusements. To designate the kinds and types of amuse-
ments that shall be permitted in Prince George's County.
To require public hearings and inspection of locations
before issuing any permit and fix all charges and fees con-
nected with the issuance of such permits. Public amuse-
ments shall include but not be limited to meets, contests,
events, exhibitions, sports events, moving picture exhi-
bitions, theatrical or dramatic performances, entertain-
ments, shows, carnivals, public dances, boxing or wrestling
arenas, amusement parks, skating rinks, bowling alleys,
fairs, picnics, card parties, bingo parties, bazaars, concerts,
lectures, barbecues, dinners, motorcycle and automobile
