1578 LAWS OF MARYLAND [CH. 701

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

CHAPTER 701
(House Bill 529)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sec-
tion 104-10 of the Montgomery County Code (1951
Supplement), being Article 16 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, and Section 1304(F) of the
Prince George's County Code (1943 Edition), being
Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
titles, respectively, "Montgomery County" and "Prince
George's County, " and sub-titles "Takoma Park, " as said
sections were amended by Chapter 189 of 1951, relating
to partial levies and improvements completed during the
taxable year.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That Section 104-10 of the Montgomery County
Code (1951 Supplement), being Article 16 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, and Section 1304(F) of
the Prince George's County Code (1943 Edition), being
Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
titles "Montgomery County, " and Prince George's County, "
respectively, as said sections were amended by Chapter 189
of 1951, be and they are hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:

104-10. (1304(F)). On or before the last day of June in
each year, the Council shall, by ordinance, levy the general
taxes for the fiscal year ensuing, which taxes shall not
exceed Two Dollars ($2. 00) on each One Hundred Dollars
($100. 00) of assessed valuation. All improvements which
become substantially completed between July 1st and Sep-
tember 30th in any year shall be assessed for taxes and
such improvements shall be subject to municipal taxation in
said year on the basis of three-fourths of the regular as-
