tated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Natural
Resources", sub-title "Commission"; to repeal Sub-sec-
tion 131 (a) and Sections 132, 206 and 209 of said
Article 66C, sub-title "Upland Migratory Game Birds
and Game Animals" and "Regulations for Taking of
Game and Fresh Water Game Fish in Non-Tidal Waters",
and to enact a new Sub-section 131 (a) and new Section
132, 206 and 209 to stand in the place and stead of the
sub-section and sections so repealed, relating generally
to the open seasons, bag limits and size and creel limits
for birds, game and inland water fish in this State and
relating also to the power of the Game and Inland Fish
Commission to adopt rules and regulations pertaining
thereto.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That Sub-section (a) of Section 115 of the;
Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Nat-
ural Resources", sub-title "Commission", be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:

115. (Powers. ) (a) Having a due regard for the distri-
bution, abundance, economic value and breeding habits of
wild birds, wild animals, and fish, in inland waters, the
Commission is hereby vested with the necessary power
and authority to determine when, to what extent, if at all,
and by what means it is desirable to enlarge, extend,
restrict or prohibit in any degree the provisions of law
obtaining in this State for the hunting, taking, capture,
killing, possession, sale, purchase, shipment, transporta-
tion, carriage or export of any wild bird, wild animal, or
fish from inland waters and may adopt regulations for such
purpose. [Provided, however, that no such regulation shall
be adopted which would have the effect of opening the
squirrel season in Garrett County prior to October 10 in
any year. ] Any such rule or regulation concerning or
affecting the subject matter of Sections 131, 132, 206 and
209 of this Article shall be effective only within the limits:
prescribed in said sections, respectively.

SECTION 2. And be it further enacted, That Sub-section
131 (a) and Sections 132, 206, and 209 of said Article
66C, sub-titles "Upland and Migratory Game Birds and
Game Animals" and "Regulations for Taking of Game
and Fresh Water Game Fish in Non-Tidal Waters", be
and they are hereby repealed and that a new Sub-section
131 (a) and new Sections 132, 206 and 209 be and they
are hereby enacted to stand in the place and stead of the
