MORTGAGES AND Bills of Sale. All instruments FILED
AND recorded after the effective date of this Act shall be
indexed in such indices.

(b) Any Conditional Sale Contract, Chattel Mortgage
or Bill of Sale
DESIRED TO BE recorded in said Circuit
Court shall be filed among the records of such Court, pro-
vided that all Conditional Sale Contracts shall be copied
among the Miscellaneous Records of the Circuit Court and
all Chattel Mortgages and Bills of Sale shall be copied
among the Mortgage Records of the Circuit Court, if the
person filing such Conditional Sale Contract, Chattel Mort-
gage or Bill of Sale for record desires that such instrument
shall be so copied.

(c) The Clerk of the Circuit Court for Allegany County
is authorized and directed to make an appropriate nota-
tion of the release of any Conditional Sale Contract, Chat-
tel Mortgage, or Bill of Sale. Such release shall be noted
in the index in a column provided for such release on the
same page with the index references to such instrument.
Such release shall also be noted on
ATTACHED TO the
instrument filed with the Circuit Court and, if such instru-
ment has been copied into the appropriate records of the
Circuit Court,
SUCH RELEASE SHALL BE COPIED
immediately following such THE RECORDED copy of the
instrument.
ANY INSTRUMENT, INCLUDING A RE-
CEIPT, SHOWING THAT THE BALANCE DUE ON
ANY CONDITIONAL SALE CONTRACT, CHATTEL
MORTGAGE OR BILL OF SALE HAS BEEN PAID IN
FULL SHALL BE A VALID RELEASE OF SUCH CON^
DITIONAL SALE CONTRACT, CHATTEL MORTGAGE
OR BILL OF SALE AND SHALL BE FILED OR RE^
CORDED AS HEREINBEFORE SET FORTH.

(d) The Clerk of the Circuit Court for Allegany County
is authorized and directed to destroy all recorded Condi-
tional Sale Contracts three years after the date of record-
ing
FILING in said Circuit Court.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.
