CHAPTER 662
(House Bill 86)

AN ACT to repeal Sections 187 to 277, inclusive, of Article
1 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, (1930
Edition), title "Allegany County", sub-title "Frostburg",
and to repeal all other laws or parts of laws amending or
being part of said sub-title and to enact in lieu thereof
120 sections to be added to said Article and to comprise
the Charter of the Town CITY of Frostburg, revising
the corporate charter of the Town CITY of Frostburg
and relating generally to the powers and duties of said
town CITY, of its officers and employees and to the
government of the Town CITY of Frostburg.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That Sections 187 to 277, inclusive, of Article 1
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), title "Allegany County", sub-title "Frostburg", be
and they are hereby repealed, and that all other laws or
parts of laws amending or being part of said sub-title be
and they are hereby repealed, and that 120 sections be and
they are hereby enacted in lieu thereof to be added to said
Article and to comprise the Charter of the Town CITY of
Frostburg and all to read as follows:

ARTICLE I

Incorporation and General Government

INCORPORATION:

1. The inhabitants CITIZENS of the City of Frostburg
in Allegany County, Maryland are hereby constituted a
body corporate by the name of "The City of Frostburg",
and by that name shall have perpetual succession, sue and
be sued, have and use a common seal which may be altered
at pleasure, and have all powers and privileges incident to
or that may attach to a municipal corporation. The repeal-
ing of the former Section 187 of Article 1 of the 1930
Edition of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
and the enactment of this new section, shall not be construed

as terminating the existence of the corporation known as
