bothom's 1942 Edition), title "Harford County'', sub-
title "County Commissioners", relating to the support
of Free Public Libraries in Harford County and con-
tribution of a sum toward the purchase of an ambulance
to be used in Harford County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 211 and 213 of Article 13 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (Higinbothom's 1942
Edition), title "Harford County", sub-title "County Com-
missioners", be and they are hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

CHAPTER 641
(Senate Bill 499)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
249 of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1951 Edition), title "Natural Resources", sub-title
General Provisions", providing that the provisions of
said section shall not be applicable to certain waters in
Dorchester County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 249 of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Natural Resources", sub-
title "General Provisions", be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

249. (Riparian Rights. ) The owner of any land bor-
dering on any tidal waters of the tributaries of the Chesa-
peake Bay, except the waters of the Great Choptank River,
lying in the State of Maryland, or anyone who is a tenant,
renter or lessee of such owner, shall by virtue of such
ownership or occupancy be first entitled to make a choice
of the set or position to place nets or establish a haul seine
fishery in front of the property of which he or she is the
