SAID CENTER LINE TO A POINT THEREON 300
FEET, MORE OR LESS. SOUTHEASTERLY FROM
THE CENTER OF HALPINE ROAD, THENCE RUN-
NING IN AN EASTERLY DIRECTION, 300 FEET
SOUTH OF AND PARALLEL TO THE CENTER LINE
OF HALPINE ROAD, A DISTANCE OF 1800 FEET,
MORE OR LESS, THENCE RUNNING IN A NORTH-
ERLY DIRECTION AT RIGHT ANGLES TO SAID
HALPINE ROAD, A DISTANCE OF 500 FEET, MORE
OR LESS, TO INTERSECT THE PRESENT CORPO-
RATE LIMITS OF THE TOWN OF ROCKVILLE.

ALL OF THE TERRITORY HEREBY ANNEXED TO
THE TOWN OF ROCKVILLE SHALL BE EXCLUDED
FROM THE LIMITS OF THE MARYLAND-WASHING-
TON METROPOLITAN DISTRICT AND ALSO FROM
THE LIMITS OF THE MARYLAND-WASHINGTON
REGIONAL DISTRICT. THE LANDS HEREIN DE-
SCRIBED SHALL NOT BE SUBJECT TO THE MARY-
LAND NATIONAL CAPITAL PARK AND PLANNING
COMMISSION NOR SUBJECT TO THE ORDINANCES
THEREOF. ALL OF SAID LANDS SHALL HERE-
AFTER BE EXEMPT FROM TAXES HEREAFTER
LEVIED FOR THE PURPOSES OF SAID METROPOLI-
TAN AND REGIONAL DISTRICTS. ALL OF THE
TERRITORY HEREBY ANNEXED TO THE TOWN
OF ROCKVILLE SHALL FROM AND AFTER JUNE 1,
1953, BE SUBJECT TO ALL THE LAWS, ORDINANCES
AND REGULATIONS OF SAID TOWN.

ALL OF THE TERRITORY HEREBY ANNEXED TO
THE TOWN OF ROCKVILLE SHALL BE EXCLUDED
FROM THE LIMITS AND JURISDICTION OF THE
WASHINGTON SUBURBAN SANITARY DISTRICT.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency measure and necessary
for the immediate preservation of the public health and
safety and having been passed by a yea and nay vote,
supported by three-fifths of all the members elected to
each of the two Houses of the General Assembly of Mary-
land, the same shall take effect from the date of its passage.
