(1951 Edition), title "Testamentary Law", sub-title
"Register of Wills", and to add a new sub-section to
said section, said new sub-section to be known as Sub-
section (b) (9) of said section, to follow immediately
after Sub-section (b) (8) thereof, providing that the
Register of Wills of Talbot County shall receive an
annual salary of $4, 500. 00. AND THAT THE REGIS-
TER OF WILLS OF CECIL COUNTY SHALL RE-
CEIVE $4, 000. 00.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sub-section (b) (4) SUB-SECTIONS (B) (4) AND
(B) (5) of Section 298 of Article 93 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Testamentary
Law", sub-title "Register of Wills", be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, and that a
new sub-section be and it is hereby added to said section,
said new sub-section to be known as Sub-section (b) (9)
of said section, to follow immediately after Sub-section
(b) (8) thereof, and to read as follows:

(b)
(4) The Register of Wills of Harford, Kent, Queen
Anne's, Cecil, and Somerset [and Talbot] Counties shall
each be entitled to receive the annual salary of $3, 600.
(5) THE REGISTER OF WILLS OF ANNE ARUN-
DEL, CECIL, DORCHESTER, HOWARD, PRINCE
GEORGE'S, AND WICOMICO COUNTIES SHALL
EACH BE ENTITLED TO RECEIVE THE ANNUAL
SALARY OF $4, 000.
(9) The Register of Wills of Talbot County shall be
entitled to receive the annual salary of $4, 500.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect January 1, 1955.
