calendar year. After the payment of all said sums, the
Clerk shall thereafter on or before the 10th day of each
month pay to the County Treasurer of Calvert County for
the credit of the County Commissioners all such fees. The
receipts therefrom shall go into general funds and shall be
used by the County Commissioners for general purposes.
(b). Any surplus from said funds after application as
provided for in sub-section (a) of this section, but in no
event more than Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($25, 000)
in any one calendar year shall be allocated for the con-
struction by County Commissioners of Calvert County
of the Calvert County Health Center to be built on a site
adjacent to and to be acquired from the Calvert County
Hospital. The entire cost of constructing the said Calvert
County Health Center shall not exceed One Hundred and
Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150, 000. 00)
PROVIDED FOR IN SUB-SECTION (A) OF THIS SEC-
TION, SHALL BE DISTRIBUTED AS FOLLOWS: FOR
A PERIOD OF FIVE YEARS FROM AND AFTER
JUNE 1, 1953, ANY SUCH SURPLUS SHALL BE DE-
VOTED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSION-
ERS OF CALVERT COUNTY TO THE LIQUIDATION
OF A DEFICIT IN THE CURRENT OPERATING REV-
ENUES OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF CAL-
VERT COUNTY AS FOUND TO EXIST BY THE
STATE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION IN MARCH,
1953. THEREAFTER ANY SUCH SURPLUS SHALL
BE PAID INTO THE GENERAL FUNDS OF CALVERT
COUNTY TO BE EXPENDED FOR THE GENERAL
PURPOSES OF THE SAID COUNTY.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.
