SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

(Senate Bill 239)
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 77 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Public
Education", sub-title "Chapter 19. Source and Distribu-
tion of Income", said new section to be known as Section
217A and to follow immediately after Section 217 of
said Article, authorizing and directing the County Com-
missioners of Calvert County to earmark and reserve
the moneys received from the State as an Incentive
Fund for school buildings for the payment of the
interest and principal of the money received out of the
General School Construction Loan of 1949, and relating
to the payment of any deficit out of the General Funds
of the County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
77 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition),
title "Public Education", sub-title "Chapter 19. Source
and Distribution of Income", said new section to be known
as Section 217A, to follow immediately after Section 217
of said Article, and to read as follows:
217A. The County Commissioners of Calvert County
are authorized and directed to earmark and reserve the
moneys received from the State as an Incentive Fund for
school buildings for the payment of the interest and prin-
cipal of the money received out of the General School Con-
struction Loan of 1949. In the event the Incentive Fund
received from the State is not sufficient to pay the interest
on said sums received from the Loan and the principal
thereof, then the said County Commissioners shall pay the
deficit thereof out of the General Funds of the County or
shall levy sufficient taxes to pay said deficit. Any taxes
