(House Bill 894)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sub-
section (h) of Section 40 of Article 10 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Attorneys at
Law and Attorneys in Fact", sub-title "State's Attorney",
relating to the compensation of the Assistant State's
Attorney for Allegany County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sub-section (h) of Section 40 of Article
10 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition),
title "Attorneys at Law and Attorneys in Fact", sub-title
"State's Attorney", be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
40.
(h) The State's Attorney of Allegany County shall
receive an annual salary of not less than $4, 000 nor more
than $4, 800, in the discretion of the County Commissioners
of said county. The Assistant State's Attorney of Alle-
gany County shall receive an annual salary of not less than
$3, 000.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

sections (f) and (g-a) of Section 40 of Article 10 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "At-
torneys at Law and Attorneys in Fact", sub-title "State's
Attorney", relating to the annual compensation of the
State's Attorney of Wicomico County.
