SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

(House Bill 880)

AN ACT to add a new sub-section to Section 298 of Article
93 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition),
title "Testamentary Law", sub-title "Register of Wills",
said new sub-section to be known as Sub-section (b)
(7-a) of said section, and to repeal and re-enact, with
amendments, Sub-section (b) (7) of said section, raising
the salary of the Register of Wills of Allegany County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That be and there is hereby added a new
sub-section to Section 298 of Article 93 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Testamentary
Law", sub-title "Register of Wills", said new sub-section
to be known as Sub-section (b) (7-a) of said section, and
that Sub-section (b) (7) of said section be and the same is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, and all
to read as follows:

298. (b)

(7) The Register of Wills of [Allegany and] Washington
[Counties] County shall [each] be entitled to receive the
annual salary of $4, 800. 00.

(7-a) The Register of Wills of Allegany County shall be
entitled to receive the annual salary of $5, 400. 00.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.
