SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

CHAPTER 51
(Senate Bill 175)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
40 (k) (11) of Article 10 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1951 Edition), title "Attorneys at Law and Attor-
neys in Fact", sub-title "State's Attorneys", increasing
the expense allowance of the State's Attorney of Wor-
cester County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 40(k)(11) of Article 10 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Attorneys at Law
and Attorneys in Fact", sub-title "State's Attorneys", be
and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:

(k).

(11). The State's Attorney of Worcester County shall
receive an expense allowance of [$2, 500] $4, 000 for the
year [1949] 1953 and each year thereafter, plus such
further allowance as shall be approved by the County
Commissioners of that county for the performance of the
official duties of his office that are necessary or may here-
after be required by law.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.
