(c) [Every said vehicle shall be equipped with not less
than two fire extinguishers, filled and ready for immedi-
ate use, and placed at a convenient point on the vehicle
so used.]
Every said vehicle shall be equipped with not less than
two fire extinguishers of a minimum size each of 1 1/2
quart carbon tetrachloride, or 4 lbs. CO2, or 4 lbs. dry
chemical, and bear a label of approval by the Under-
writers Laboratories, Inc., and be filled and ready for
immediate use, and placed at a convenient point on the
vehicle so used.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1954.

(Senate Bill 47)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
76 of Article 100 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1951 Edition), title "Work—Hours Of, In Factories",
sub-title "State Employees", providing that the provi-
sions of said section relating to overtime work of certain
State employees shall not apply to the employees of the
Maryland Alcohol Tax Enforcement Unit.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly ofMaryland,
That Section 76 of Article 100 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Work—Hours of, In Fac-
tories", sub-title "State Employees", be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:
76. (a) Every State employee except per diem and
hourly employees who works in excess of forty-four (44)
hours in any week shall receive extra compensation for
such hours worked in excess of that time. The amount of
compensation for such excess shall be computed by divid-
ing the weekly compensation by forty-four and multiplying
