To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:
I, JOHN R. REEVES, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE OF
MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
210 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951
Edition) DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at a Special Referendum
Election held in the Town of Forest Heights, Prince George's
County, Maryland, on Wednesday, May 13, 1953, an Act
known as Chapter 730 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of Maryland of 1953 was submitted to the voters of the
Town of Forest Heights, Prince George's County, Maryland,
for their adoption or rejection under the provisions of
Chapter 730 of the Acts of 1953, said Act being as follows:
"An Act to amend Sec. 22 of Chapter 142 of 1949, limit-
ing storm water or surface drainage improvement
expenditures in the Town of Forest Heights in any
one year, except on approval by referendum".
AND I DO CERTIFY, That at such election 163 votes were
cast in favor of limitation of drainage expenditures and 36
votes were cast against the limitation; 105 votes were cast
for change in method of drainage assessment and 73 votes
were cast against the change in method; and a majority of
the votes being cast in favor of the adoption of Chapter 730
of the Acts of 1953, the same has, therefore, been ratified by
the voters of the Town of Forest Heights, Prince George's
County.
