ERALLY TO THE PROOF OF FINANCIAL RE-
SPONSIBILITY FOR ANY SUCH PERSON.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new sub section TWO NEW SUB-SEC-
TIONS be and it is hereby added to Section 92 of Article
66i/2 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition),
title "Motor Vehicles", sub-title "Administration—Regis-
tration—Titling", said new sub-

SECTIONS TO BE KNOWN AS SUB-SEC-
TIONS (D) AND (E), to follow immediately after Sub-
section (c) thereof, and to read as follows:
92.
(d) On and after June 1, 1954, the application of any
person under the age of twenty-one (21) years for an
instruction permit or operator's or chauffeur's license shall
be accompanied by such proof of financial responsibility as
is required under the provisions of Section 119 of this

Nothing in this sub-section shall be deemed
or taken to affect in any way any person who, prior to
June 1, 1954, has secured an instruction permit or oper-
ator's or chauffeur's license under the provisions of Sub-
sections (a), (b) and (c) hereinabove.
(E) THE PROOF OF FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
REQUIRED BY THIS SECTION SHALL REMAIN CON-
TINUOUS AND IN EFFECT UNTIL SUCH MINOR
LICENSEE SHALL BECOME TWENTY-ONE (21)
YEARS OF AGE. IN THE EVENT THAT SUCH
LICENSEE SHALL FAIL TO MAINTAIN THE PROOF
OF RESPONSIBILITY UNTIL SUCH MINOR SHALL
BECOME TWENTY-ONE (21) YEARS OF AGE, THEN
THE DEPARTMENT SHALL HAVE THE RIGHT TO
SUSPEND SUCH LICENSE UNTIL PROOF SHALL BE
RENEWED OR UNTIL SUCH MINOR SHALL BE-
COME TWENTY-ONE (21) YEARS OF AGE, WHICH-
EVER SHALL FIRST OCCUR.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1954.
