(House Bill 37)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sec-
tion 166(2) of Article 48A of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Insurance," sub-title
"Life, Accident and Health Insurance," correcting an
error in said Section.
WHEREAS, Section 166(2) of Article 48A of the Anno-
tated Code (1951 Edition) omitted a word which was con-
tained in the last amendment to this section made by
Chapter 561 of the Acts of 1943; and
WHEREAS, It is desirable to re-enact this section in order
to correct the omission and avoid any further question as
to the correct text of the act; now therefore
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 166(2) of Article 48A of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "In-
surance," sub-title "Life, Accident and Health Insurance,"
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:
166.
(2). This sub-section shall apply only to those policies
and contracts issued prior to the operative date of Sec-
tion 189 (the Standard Non-forfeiture Law).
The net value of all policies issued on or before the thirty-
first day of December, in the year nineteen hundred and
two, shall be based upon the American Experience Table of
Mortality, and four and one-half per cent interest per
annum; and for all policies issued subsequent to said thirty-
first day of December, in the year nineteen hundred and
two, and on or before the thirty-first day of December, in
the year nineteen hundred and eighteen, upon the Actu-
aries Table of Mortality, and four per cent interest per
annum; and for all policies except industrial issued sub-
sequent to the thirty-first day of December in the year
nineteen hundred and eighteen, upon the American Experi-
ence Table of Mortality or the American Men Ultimate
