INSTRUCTION OF THE ORGANIZED MILITIA OF
THE STATE OF MARYLAND. THE REMAINDER OF
THE PROCEEDS OF ANY SUCH SALE, TRANSFER
OR GRANT SHALL BE USED ALONE OR TOGETHER
WITH ANY OTHER FUNDS WHICH MAY BECOME
AVAILABLE FOR THE PURPOSE BY THE BOARD
OF PUBLIC WORKS FOR THE ACQUISITION OF
LAND, BUILDINGS, EQUIPMENT, NEW CONSTRUC-
TION OR OTHER CAPITAL ACQUISITIONS OF THE
STATE. ALL SUCH PROCEEDS SHALL BE CARRIED
IN THE CAPITAL ACCOUNT BY THE TREASURER
UNTIL EXPENDED AS HEREINABOVE PROVIDED,
OR UNTIL RE-APPROPRIATED TO SOME OTHER
PURPOSE BY SUBSEQUENT LEGISLATIVE ACTS.
(c) The Department of Militia, with the approval of the
Board of Public Works, is authorized and empowered to
acquire, by purchase, lease or condemnation, a tract or
tracts of land and to construct buildings, purchase and
install equipment, and make improvements and other
capital expenditures thereon or on any other land that may
be acquired or leased necessary or proper for the benefit
and instruction of the Organized Militia of the State of
Maryland.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is here-
by declared to be an emergency measure and necessary
for the immediate preservation of the public health and
safety, and having been passed by a yea and nay vote, sup-
ported by three-fifths of all of the members elected to each
of the two Houses of the General Assembly of Maryland,
the same shall take effect from the date of its passage.
