SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency measure and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health and safety, and
having been passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by three-
fifths of all of the members elected to each of the two Houses
of the General Assembly of Maryland, the same shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 254
(House Bill 469)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
105(d) of Article 41 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1939 Edition), title "Governor—Executive and Adminis-
trative Departments", sub-title "Commissioners for Uniform
State Laws", as said section was amended by Chapter 629
of the Acts of 1949, authorizing an increase in the contribu-
tion by the Commissioners on Uniform State Laws of Mary-
land for the expenses of the National Conference of Com-
missioners on Uniform State Laws.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 105 (d) of Article 41 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Governor—Executive and
Administrative Departments", sub-title "Commissioners for
Uniform State Laws", as said section was amended by Chapter
629 of the Acts of 1949, be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
105.
(d) The said board may, out of its annual appropriation,
contribute to the expenses of the National Conference of Com-
missioners on Uniform State Laws such sum as they may think
proper, not exceeding, however, [Three Hundred Dollars
($300. 00)] Five Hundred Dollars ($500. 00) a year.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1951.
