Edition), being Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland, title "Prince George's County", sub-title "Fire
Companies", and to add one new sub-section to Section 605B
of said Article 17 and Prince George's County Code, to be
known as sub-section (i), to follow immediately after sub-
section (h) of said section as said sections and sub-sections
were enacted by Chapter 808 of the Acts of 1947, and
amended by Chapter 170 of the Acts of 1949, adding certain
election districts and fire companies to said Act and pro-
viding for a referendum thereon.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 605A (a) and (b) of the Prince George's
County Code (1943 Edition), being Article 17 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Prince George's County",
sub-title "Fire Companies", be and they are hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, and that one new sub-
section be and it is hereby added to Section 605B of said Prince
George's County Code and Article 17, said new sub-section to
be known as sub-section (i), and to follow immediately after
sub-section (h), as said sections and sub-sections were enacted
by Chapter 808 of the Acts of 1947, and amended by Chapter
170 of the Acts of 1949, and to read as follows:
605A. (a) The provisions of this section shall apply to and
be effective in the following election districts of Prince
George's County: 6th, 12th, 18th, 20th, 2nd, 9th, 31st, [and]
1st, and the incorporated Town of Edmonston in the 1st pre-
cinct of the 16th Election District.
(b) The County Commissioners of Prince George's County
are hereby authorized and directed to levy for the year [1951]
1952 and annually thereafter a fire tax of ten cents on every
One Hundred Dollars ($100. 00) of the assessed value of all
real and personal property located in each of said election
districts except that a fire tax of seven cents on every One
Hundred Dollars ($100. 00) of the assessed value of all real
and personal property be levied on said property located within
the corporate boundaries of the said Town of Edmonston in
the 1st Precinct of the 16th Election District.
605B.
(i) In the incorporated Town of Edmonston the proceeds
of said tax shall be divided and paid by the County Commis-
sioners every six months in equal shares to the respective
Treasurers of (1) The Hyattsville Volunteer Fire Department,
(2) Bladensburg Volunteer Fire Department, and (3) River-
dale Volunteer Fire Department, Inc.
