(Senate Bill 210)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
142 (a) of Article 11 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1947 Supplement), title "Banks and Trust Companies, "
sub-title "Credit Unions, " increasing the amount of
loans which may be made by credit unions without
security.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 142 (a) of Article 11 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1947 Supplement), title "Banks and Trust
Companies, " sub-title "Credit Unions, " be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:
142 (a). A credit union may loan to its members for
such purposes, and upon such security and terms as the
by-laws shall provide, and the credit committee may ap-
prove, but security need not be taken for any loan of
[three hundred dollars ($300. 00)] four hundred dollars
($400. 00) or less, or for the sum of [three hundred dollars
($300. 00)] four hundred dollars ($400. 00) in any case
where the loan is in excess of said amount.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1951.

(Senate Bill 217)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sec-
tions 222 and 223 of Article 8 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Cecil
County, " sub-title "Jurors, " relating to the number of
jurors to be selected from each Election District in Cecil
County.
