said election; and the said judges shall keep the polls open
from 6. 00 P. M. until 8. 00 P. M., and shall record the names
of the voters, and after the closing of the polls shall count the
ballots and announce the results and make and sign a certifi-
cate thereof to be
filed among the records of said corporation.

84-I. The Commissioners may pass all by-laws and ordi-
nances to give effect to the powers vested in them by this
charter, and impose fines, penalties and forfeitures for the
breach of their by-laws and ordinances; but no ordinance shall
impose a fine, penalty or forfeiture for any one offense of more
than $25. 00, nor more than thirty days in the County Jail or
both, in the discretion of the Court.

84J. The Commissioners of said Town as authorized to pass
ordinances and by-laws for the regulation, good government,
improvement and comfort of the said corporation and the in-
habitants thereof; to suppress vice, crime and immorality, to
restrain disorder and disturbances of the peace and to prevent
and remove nuisances within said corporation.

84K. The Commissioners are authorized and empowered to
enforce all ordinances passed by them and to affix penalties,
fines and forfeitures for a breach of the same; provided that
such fines, penalties and forfeitures shall not exceed the sum
of $25. 00 for any one offense, and the term for any one offense
shall not exceed thirty days in the County Jail or both, in the
discretion of the Court.

84L. Any person desiring to become a candidate for Com-
missioner under this Charter shall, at least ten days before
said election, file with the Secretary of the Commissioners of
Chariest own, a statement of such candidacy in substantially
the following form, to wit:

Candidate for Nomination for Commissioner,
State of Maryland, Cecil County, to wit:

I,.......................... being first sworn, say that I

reside in the Town of Charlestown, County of Cecil, State of
Maryland; that I am a candidate for the office of Commis-
sioner to be voted upon at the election to be held on the.......

day of....................... 19....., and I hereby request

my name to be printed upon the official ballot for such elec-
tion to said office.

Subscribed and sworn to (or affirmed) before me..........

day of......................... 19.....
