said Commissioners shall designate to the credit of the
County Commissioners as County funds, to be disbursed as
indicated.
(1) $2400. 00 shall be paid to, said License Clerk, and
$3000. 00 shall be paid to the License Inspector, hereinafter
provided for, as annual compensation for their respective
services, and an additional sum of $600. 00 per year shall
be paid to said License Inspector for his expenses. Pro-
portionate parts of the payments provided for in this sub-
paragraph shall be made bi-monthly.
(2) After payment of the above salaries, any additional
funds received shall be disbursed annually as follows, the
amounts listed being reduced pro rata in the event the
funds received are insufficient to pay all in full:
(a) $13, 000. 00 shall be paid to the following fire com-
panies, as follows:
$4000. 00 to the La Plata Fire Dept.
$1500. 00 to the Hughesville Fire Dept.
$1500. 00 to the Waldorf Fire Dept.
$1500. 00 to the Nanjemoy Fire Dept.
$1500. 00 to the Indian Head Fire Dept.
$1500. 00 to the Potomac Heights Fire Dept.
$1500. 00 to the Fifth District Fire Dept.
(b) $1000. 00 shall be paid to the Children's Aid Society
for use in its work in Charles County.
(c) $8500. 00 shall be placed in a "Charles County Li-
brary Fund" and used to equal any State Funds which may
be available for the establishment and maintenance of free
libraries in Charles County.
(d) $8000. 00 shall be applied to a "Physicians' Memorial
Hospital Fund" and distributed to said Hospital from time
to time as deemed necessary by the County Commissioners
and based on the needs of said Hospital.
(3) After payment of the above amounts, all additional
funds received shall be applied by the County Commis-
sioners to the reduction of the Charles County real estate
tax, and to the reduction of any outstanding school bonds
and interest thereon in such proportions as the County
Commissioners in their discretion shall determine.
The County Commissioners shall appoint a License In-
spector who shall serve at the pleasure of said County Com-
missioners, and shall perform such duties as the County
Commissioners require in connection with the enforcement
