his hands for the county and the faithful performance of
other duties devolving upon [them] him; said bonds to be
approved, as the bonds of the Sheriff of the respective
counties of this State are approved, and recorded in the
office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Cecil County
and after recording, the bonds to the State shall be filed
with the State Comptroller; and the said Treasurer [and
Assistant Treasurer, ] before [they] he shall enter upon
the duties of [their said offices] his said office shall take
and subscribe before said clerk the oath prescribed by Sec-
tion 6 of Article 1 of the Constitution of the State.

(b) Before entering upon the duties of his office, the
Deputy Treasurer shall execute to the Treasurer of Cecil
County a corporate surety bond in the penalty of Seventy
Thousand Dollars, conditioned for the proper collection
and accounting of all moneys coming into his hands for the
county or state and the faithful performance of other
duties devolving upon him, the said bond to be approved,
as the bond of the sheriff of Cecil County is approved, and
recorded in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court for
Cecil County, and he shall take and subscribe before the
said Clerk the oath prescribed by Section 6 of Article 1 of
the Constitution of the State.

(c) The Deputy Treasurer shall receive such annual
salary as shall be prescribed by the County Commissioners,
but not less than Two Thousand Seven Hundred Dollars,
to be paid in equal monthly installments.

(d) The Treasurer shall be allowed his traveling and
other expenses made necessary in the performance of
his duties which shall be paid by the County Commis-
sioners.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That Sections 157,
158 and 159 of said Article, Section 157 having been
amended by Chapter 30 of the Acts of 1948 (Special Ses-
sion) and 159 having been amended by Chapter 706 of
1943, be and they are hereby repealed.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That nothing in this
Act shall affect the term or salary of the present incumbent
Assistant Treasurer.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That any and all
public general or public local laws, or any part or parts
thereof, inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, be
and they are hereby repealed to the extent of any such
inconsistency.
