sub-title "Trial Magistrates System", said section having
been amended by Chapter 752 of the Acts of 1949, be and
it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:
102. (Compensation of Other Justices. ) Justices of
the Peace other than Trial Magistrates shall be paid by
the County Commissioners, as full compensation for their
official acts and services in civil and criminal cases, the
sum of $20. 00 annually, but in Kent, Talbot and Queen
Anne's Counties shall receive annually the sum of $50. 00
and in Washington County they shall receive the sum of
$100. 00 annually and in Howard County, they shall receive
the sum of $200. 00 annually: but they may retain all fees
lawfully charged by them for taking acknowledgments or
affidavits unrelated to their civil or criminal jurisdiction.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1951.

CHAPTER 145
(House Bill 50)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 5
of Article 35 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947
Supplement), title "Evidence", sub-title "Competency of
Witnesses", making certain evidence admissible in Balti-
more City AND IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES:
ANNE ARUNDEL, CAROLINE, CARROLL, CECIL,
FREDERICK, HARFORD, KENT, PRINCE GEORGE'S,
QUEEN ANNE'S, TALBOT, WASHINGTON, WICOM-
ICO, AND WORCESTER, in the prosecution of any person
for unlawfully carrying a concealed weapon.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 5 of Article 35 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1947 Supplement), title "Evidence", sub-title
"Competency of Witnesses", be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
