burg", increasing the tax levy limits on assessable property.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 164 of Article 11 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Frederick County",
sub-title "Emmitsburg", be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

164. They shall not levy a tax exceeding [thirty] forty-five
cents on the one hundred dollars of assessable property in any
one year.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1951.

(House Bill 280)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
1143 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Montgomery
County (1947 Edition), being Article 16 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, (and said section being
known as Section 114-13 in the Montgomery County Code of
1950), title "Montgomery County", sub-title "Somerset",
requiring that curbs and sidewalks be repaired at the sole
expense of the Town.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 1143 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Montgomery County (1947 Edition), being Article 16 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, (and said section
being known as Section 114-13 in the Montgomery County
Code of 1950), title "Montgomery County", sub-title "Somer-
set, " be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:

1143. (114-13) (a). The Council is hereby authorized to
prepare a plat of said town, upon which shall be shown all
