To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:

I, JOHN R. REEVES, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE OF
MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section 203
of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947 Supple-
ment) DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at a Special election held in the
Town of Cheverly, Prince George's County, Maryland, on Mon-
day, April 2, 1951 an Act known as Chapter 137 of the Acts of
1951, was submitted to the voters of the said Town of Cheverly,
for their adoption or rejection under the provisions of Article
16 of the Constitution of the State, said Act being:

An Act to repeal the Charter of the Town of Cheverly and
enacting a new Corporate Charter in lieu thereof.

AND I DO CERTIFY, That at said election 106 votes were cast in
favor of the adoption of Chapter 137 of the Acts of 1951, and
56 votes were cast against the adoption of the said Act, and a
majority being cast in favor of the said referred law, it has
therefore been ratified by the voters of the Town of Cheverly.
