STATE OF MARYLAND


OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY OF STATE


To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals;


I, VIVIAN V. SIMPSON, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE OF
MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section 203
of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947 Supple-
ment) DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at the General Election held in
the State of Maryland, on November 7, 1950, an Act known as
Chapter 679 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland
of 1949, was submitted to the voters of Caroline County, for
their adoption or rejection under the provisions of Article 16
of the Constitution of the State, said Act being:

An Act to make it lawful to hold or conduct carnivals,
bazaars or raffles by certain organizations or corpora-
tions, for the benefit of volunteer fire companies, or of
certain fraternal, civic, war veterans, religious or charit-
able organizations or corporations in Caroline County.


AND I DO CERTIFY, That at said election 3, 113 votes were cast
in favor of the adoption of Chapter 679 of the Acts of 1949,
and 614 votes were cast against the adoption of the said Act,
and a majority being cast in favor of the adoption of the said
referred law, it has therefore been ratified by the voters of
Caroline County.


IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto sub-
scribed my name and affixed my Official Seal,
Done at the City of Annapolis this 22nd day

of November, in the Year of Our Lord, One
