sion to the State Comptroller on the first of each and every
month to be placed to the credit of the State Game Protection
Fund. Each and every license shall expire December 1 after
date of issuance and every person obtaining such license shall
paint the license number on each side of the bow of the boat or
skiff to be used for the purpose of pushing or paddling in
figures not less than two inches high and of such character and
color that the same may be easily read. No person not a bona
fide resident of the State of Maryland shall be entitled to have
a license to push or paddle issued to him by the Clerk of the
Court.

Any person convicted before any Justice of the Peace of this
State for violating any of the provisions of Sections 42 to 52,
unless a specific penalty is otherwise provided, shall be fined
not less than Twenty-five Dollars ($25. 00) nor more than Fifty
Dollars ($50. 00) for each and every offense.

106. (Clerk's Duties. ) (a) The Clerks of Courts or other per-
sons authorized to sell such license shall retain as compensa-
tion for issuing the above licenses the sum of Twenty-five Cents
(25¢) and shall on the first" day of July, 1943, and on the first
day of each and every month thereafter transmit to the [Comp-
troller] Game and Inland Fish Commission of the State all
monies received by them for licenses, and [the] such funds
shall be
accounted for by the said Commission to the Comp-
troller of the State. The
amount so received by the Comptoller
shall be placed to the credit of a separate fund known as "The
State Game Protection Fund" and shall be disbursed by the
Comptroller from time to time on warrants signed by the
Director and countersigned by a representative of the Com-
mission. The monies in said Fund to the credit of the Angler's
License shall be used solely for the salaries and expenses and
for scientific investigations, protection, and propagation of
game fish and fresh water fishes.

(b) In case a person shall lose his angler's license and button
or badge, he may make affidavit as to the date of issuance, num-
ber, description, as provided therein giving name of clerk or
person who issued said license and with this information the
Commission is authorized to issue a duplicate angler's license,
and button or badge at a cost not to exceed Seventy-five Cents
(75¢).

(c) The Commission is hereby authorized to issue annually
not to exceed twenty (20) complimentary anglers licenses and
buttons or badges to the following persons (a) the Chief
Executive of the United States, (b) the Governor of any State
(c) to authorized officials of the Game and Fish Departments
of other States. Such licenses shall not be transferable and
