be the following words: "Against an issue of bonds or certifi-
cates of indebtedness to obtain funds for the enlargement of
the fire house and municipal building" with a blank square
opposite at the right of said words.
In the event that at such election, whether special or regular
town election, the majority of votes cast for and against this
Act allowing an issue of bonds or certificates of indebtedness
shall be in favor of allowing said issue of bonds or certificates
of indebtednes, then this Act shall be in full force and effect;
but if a majority of the votes so cast upon said question shall
be against an issue of bonds or certificates of indebtedness for
the purposes hereinbefore stated, then this Act shall be void
and of no effect.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency measure and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health and safety, and
having been passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by three-
fifths of all of the members elected to each of the two Houses
of the General Assembly of Maryland, the same shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

(House Bill 105)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 46
of Article 11 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edi-
tion), title "Banks and Trust Companies", sub-title "Savings
Institutions", relating to the advertising of annual reports
by savings institutions.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 46 of Article 11 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Banks and Trust Companies",
sub-title "Savings Institutions", be and the same is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
46. An abbreviated statement as of date the last day of
December of each institution so reporting shall be published
