and as to said Commissioners to the extent of $200. 00 each per
annum from the general funds of said county, and as to the
Clerk and Attorney of the Board of County Commissioners
said sum of $400. 00 respectively, shall be paid to them from
the general funds of the County.

"Any funds over and above that necessary for operating and
administrative purposes and any other funds not specifically
pledged by law which heretofore or hereafter remain in the
hands of the Commission may be used in the respective coun-
ties of the District, in the same proportion as the same were
collected from said counties, for the purchase, development,
maintenance and operation of parks therein; provided, how-
ever, that any such funds not collected in the said counties may
be used by the Commission as in its discretion is for the best
interests of the District. "

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1951.

AN ACT to increase the amount of retirement pay now being
paid to certain former employees of the State or any de-
partment or agency thereof.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That from and after June 1, 1951, any former employee
of the State or of any department or agency thereof who shall
have retired under the provisions of any law of the State
PRIOR TO OCTOBER 1, 1941, and who shall be receiving
retirement pay on account of injuries received in the perform-
ance of duties under the provision thereof, shall be paid a
monthly retirement allowance equal to two thirds the aver-
age monthly salary received by such employee during the
year immediately preceding the granting of his or her appli-
cation for retirement. THEREOF, SHALL RECEIVE A
RETIREMENT ALLOWANCE EQUAL TO TWO-THIRDS
