AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
2-CC of the Maryland-Washington Regional District Act as
enacted by Chapter 992 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of Maryland of 1943, and as codified for convenience as Sec-
tion 752 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Montgomery
County (1947 Edition), as Section 129-29 of the Montgomery
County Code 1950, and as Section 998 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Prince George's County (1943 Edition) so as
to increase the administrative tax within the Maryland-
Washington Regional District in Montgomery County from
three cents to four cents, to compensate for loss of revenue
to the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Com-
mission through the transfer of building inspection from the
said Commission to Montgomery County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 2-CC of the Maryland-Washington Regional
District Act as enacted by Chapter 992 of the Acts of the Gen-
eral Assembly of Maryland of 1943, and as codified for con-
venience as Section 752 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Montgomery County (1947 Edition), as Section 129-29 of the
Montgomery County Code 1950, and as Section 998 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's County, respec-
tively, be and the same is hereby re-enacted, with amendments
so as to read as follows:
"For the purpose of paying the current operating or admin-
istrative expenses of the Commission, including the cost of the
development of the plan of the District or any part of such
plan and including the cost of the exercise of the powers and
functions granted by this sub-title to the Commission, there
shall be levied annually, beginning with the next annual levy,
against all the assessable property within the District by the
County Commissioners of Montgomery and Prince George's
Counties respectively a tax of four cents (4¢) on each One
Hundred Dollars within that portion of the said District within
Montgomery County and a tax of three cents (3¢) on each One
Hundred Dollars within that portion of the said district within
Prince George's County. Each of said Boards of County Com-
