(i) The Commissioner of Motor Vehicles shall have the power
to make such rules and regulations, not inconsistent herewith,
as he shall deem necessary for the purpose of carrying out the
provisions of this section.

(j) Any person violating the provisions of this section shall
be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be fined no more than
One Thousand Dollars ($1, 000) or imprisoned for no more than
one year, or both.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1951.

(House Bill 642)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
37A(c) AND SECTION 37A(f) of Article 10 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1947 Supplement), title "Attor-
neys at Law and Attorneys in Fact, " sub-title "State's At-
torney, " as said section was amended by Chapter 424 of the
Acts of 1949, providing for the clerical expenses of the State's
Attorney of ATTORNEYS OF CALVERT COUNTY AND

St. Mary's County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 37A(c) AND SECTION 37A(f) of Article
10 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947 Supplement),
title "Attorneys at Law and Attorneys in Fact", sub-title
"State's Attorney", as said section was SECTIONS WERE
amended by Chapter 424 of the Acts of 1949, be and it is
THEY ARE hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:

37A.

(c) THE STATE'S ATTORNEYS OF CALVERT,
CHARLES AND HOWARD COUNTIES SHALL RECEIVE
AN ANNUAL SALARY OF $2, 000.
