1890 LAWS OF MARYLAND [CH. 634

Treasurer and Clerk to the County Commissioners, " as said
section was amended by Chapter 955 of the Acts of 1945; to
repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sub-section 38A(g)
of Article 25 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947 Sup-
plement), title "County Commissioners, " sub-title "County
Treasurer, " as said sub-section was amended by Chapter 548
of the Acts of 1949, relating generally to the appointment,
compensation and duties of the Treasurer and the Assistant
Treasurer of Carroll County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land,
That Section 47 of Article 7 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Carroll County, "
sub-title "County Treasurer and Clerk to the County Commis-
sioners, " as said section was amended by Chapter 955 of the
Acts of 1945 and Sub-section 38A(g) of Article 25 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1947 Supplement), title "County
Commissioners, " sub-title "County Treasurer, " as said sub-
section was amended by Chapter 548 of the Acts of 1949, be
and they are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:

47. The said Treasurer and Clerk [shall receive as compen-
sation two thousand seven hundred dollars ($2, 700. 00) per
year, to be paid in equal monthly installments, and shall re-
ceive no other compensation or fees for any services rendered
by him, except in the event he shall act as Accountant for the
Carroll County Roads Department, he shall be entitled to re-
ceive an additional three hundred dollars ($300. 00) per year.
He] shall receive and pay over according to the directions of
law or the order of the County Commissioners the proceeds of
all taxes levied in said county, and shall keep full accounts of
all monies received and paid by him, and of all matters relating
to the duties of his office, with all vouchers relating thereto; he
shall attend all meetings of the County Commissioners, make
minutes of and record their proceedings, and perform such
other duties as they shall from time to time require of him; he
shall furnish, under seal or otherwise, to individuals, copies
or extracts of any papers in the office of the County Commis-
sioners, of which copies or extracts may by law, be required or
by their permission granted, and shall be entitled to the same
fees for such services as the clerk of the Circuit Court for simi-
lar services but all such fees shall be accounted for and paid
into the general funds of the County; in case of the death or
resignation of said treasurer at any time during the term for
which he shall have been appointed or elected, the County
Commissioners shall within twenty days thereafter appoint
someone to fill said vacancy, who shall take the oath and give
the bond hereinbefore required to be taken and given by the
