AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sec-
tion 80A(a) of Article 24 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Worcester
County, " sub-title "Fire Marshal" as said section was
enacted by Chapter 642 of the Acts of 1949, authorizing
an increase in the levy for the Fire Marshal and direct-
ing the County Commissioners to make said levy and re-
lating to the appointment of a Fire Marshal.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 80A(a) of Article 24 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Worcester
County, " sub-title "Fire Marshal", as said section was
enacted by Chapter 642 of the Acts of 1949, be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

80A.

(a). The County Commissioners of Worcester County
are hereby authorized to create and establish the office of
Fire Marshal for said County; and to appoint as said Fire
Marshal a person from a name or list of names submitted
by the Worcester County Volunteer Firemen's Association
for a term of one year unless sooner removed by the
County Commissioners. The said Fire Marshal shall re-
ceive such compensation as said County Commissioners
shall determine and said Commissioners are authorized
