crease shall be paid in one sum as hereinafter provided.
PROVIDED, HOWEVER, THE SALARY INCREASES
PROVIDED IN THIS BILL SHALL NOT APPLY TO
ANY EMPLOYEE, WHO IS OFFERED EMPLOYMENT,
PRIOR TO TERMINATION DATE OF HIS EMPLOY-
MENT BY THE SAID CHESAPEAKE BAY FERRY
SYSTEM, WITH THE STATE OF MARYLAND AT A
RATE OF PAY COMMENSURATE WITH THE JOB
HELD BY HIM WITH THE CHESAPEAKE BAY FER-
RY SYSTEM.
The State Roads Commission shall have the authority
to determine on what date, prior to the termination of the
present ferry system, on which the increase, retroactive
for six months prior thereto, shall be paid; provided, how-
ever, no employee shall be entitled to said increase unless
he shall remain in the employ of said system until the
termination thereof.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1951.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments the title
and Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 15, 28, 30, and sub-section
(A) of Section 60 of Article 339A, title "Forestry, " of
the Annotated Code of Maryland, 1939 Edit^n and 1947
Supplement thereto, and to repeal the sub-title "Safety
in the Use of Fire in the Open Air, " being Sections 46
to 51, inclusive, of said Article 39A, changing the title
of said Article 39A, changing the names of the Commis-
sion of State Forests and Parks and Department of State
Forests and Parks, changing the title of State Forester,
clarifying the laws relating to State Parks and State
recreation areas, and repealing obsolete laws relating
to the control of forest fires.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the title and Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 15, 28, 30, and
sub-section (A) of Section 60 of Article 39A of the An-
notated Code of Maryland, 1939 Edition and 1947 Supple-
