sation", sub-title "Employment Security Board", relat-
ing to the salaries of the Employment Security Board.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 10 (a) of Article 95A of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1947 Supplement), title "Unemployment
Compensation", sub-title "Employment Security Board",
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:

10.

(a) Employment Security Board.

The administration of this Article is hereby placed under
the direction and supervision of the Department of Em-
ployment Security, under the Employment Security Board,
which Board shall consist of a chairman and two associate
members, who shall each take the oath of office prescribed
by the Constitution before entering upon the duties of his
office. The members of said Board on June 1, 1947, shall
continue to hold office during the term for which appointed.
Upon the expiration of each of said terms, the Governor,
by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, shall
appoint a successor who shall hold office for the term of
six years, and until his successor is duly appointed and
qualified. Any vacancy occurring during a term shall be
filled by the Governor, by and with the advice and con-
sent of the Senate, for the unexpired portion of the term.
The Chairman of the Board [shall receive an annual salary
of $7, 500. 00, ] and the associate members shall each re-
ceive [an annual salary of $5, 000. 00, ] such remuneration
in such amount or amounts as may be fixed by the Board
of Public Works,
STANDARD SALARY BOARD, and
they shall devote their full time to the duties of their
office. Any two members shall constitute a quorum. No
vacancy shall impair the right of the remaining members
to exercise the powers conferred upon the Board under
the provisions of this Article.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1951.
