by law, it being the intent of this section that the Board dele-
gate its responsibility where such delegation may be feasibly
done in order to realize the maximum advantages to be at-
tained from integrated management of the officers of the
County. THE BOARD IS ALSO EMPOWERED TO AP-
POINT A COUNTY MANAGER WHO SHALL HAVE GEN-
ERAL ADMINISTRATIVE SUPERVISION OVER ALL
DEPARTMENTS OF THE COUNTY GOVERNMENT IN
THE EVENT SAID BOARD DEEMS SUCH AN APPOINT-
MENT FEASIBLE AND DESIRABLE.
(D) THE BOARD IS EMPOWERED TO ACQUIRE BY
PURCHASE OR CONDEMNATION REAL OR LEASE-
HOLD PROPERTY NEEDED FOR ANY PUBLIC PUR-
POSE AND TO ERECT BUILDINGS THEREON FOR THE
BENEFIT OF THE COUNTY AND TO SELL AT PUBLIC
OR PRIVATE SALE ANY REAL OR LEASEHOLD PROP-
ERTY BELONGING TO THE COUNTY WHEN NO
LONGER NEEDED FOR PUBLIC USE, BUT NO PROP-
ERTY SHALL BE SOLD UNTIL SUCH SALE HAS BEEN
ADVERTISED FOR AT LEAST TWENTY (20) DAYS BE-
FORE DATE OF SALE.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all laws or parts of
laws inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are hereby
repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That should any section,
paragraph or sub-paragraph of this Act be declared null and
void, the remaining sections, paragraphs or sub-paragraphs
shall not be affected thereby, it being the Intent of this Act
that all sections, paragraphs or sub-paragraphs shall be sever-
able.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1951.
