If it shall become necessary to employ other Clerk or
Clerks in said office, the Treasurer, by and with the con-
sent of the County Commissioners, may employ same at a
salary or salaries to be fixed by said Commissioners. The
Treasurer shall be responsible for the official conduct of
such Clerk or Clerks so appointed by him.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1951.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sec-
tion 57 of Article 24 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Worcester County, "
sub-title "County Commissioners, " as said section was
amended by Chapter 966 of the Acts of 1945, clarifying
the provisions of said section as to certain Election Dis-
tricts and authorizing the County Commissioners to ap-
point a Clerk or Clerks and fix their compensation.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 57 of Article 24 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Worcester Coun-
ty, " sub-title "County Commissioners, " as said section was
amended by Chapter 966 of the Acts of 1945, be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
57. At the General Election to be held on the first
Tuesday after the first Monday in November, 1934, and
every fourth year thereafter, there shall be elected three
County Commissioners who shall be qualified voters of
said County and shall have resided at least two years in
said Worcester County immediately preceding their elec-
tion, and shall have been owners of and assessed with real
estate in said County for at least one year preceding their
said election; and for the purpose of selecting persons
eligible as said County Commissioners, the County shall
be considered as divided into three Commissioners' Dis-
tricts, one of which shall consist of Pocomoke Election
