of Prince George's County (Flack's Edition, 1943), being
Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
title "Prince George's County", sub-title "Recreation Board",
as said section was established by Chapter 620 of the Acts of
the General Assembly of Maryland, 1949, the purpose of this
Act being to abolish and eliminate the compensation of the
members of the Board.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 952-B of the new sub-title of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Prince George's County (Flack's Edition,
1943) being Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, title "Prince George's County", sub-title "Recrea-
tion Board", as said Section was established by Chapter 620
of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, 1949, be, and
the same is hereby, repealed and re-enacted with amendments,
so as to read as follows:
952-B. The Board shall select, from among its members, a
Chairman and an Executive Secretary both of whom shall serve
in these capacities during their respective terms of office.
[Members of the Board shall each receive an annual com-
pensation of Five Hundred Dollars ($500. 00), payable quart-
erly, and the member selected as Executive Secretary shall
receive an additional Five Hundred Dollars ($500. 00), per
annum. In addition to the foregoing, each member, including
the Chairman, shall receive a reasonable allowance for travel-
ing and other expenses incidental to the performance of his
duties, not to exceed Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250. 00)
per annum. ]
Each member, including the Chairman, shall receive a rea-
sonable allowance for traveling and other expenses incidental
to the performance of his duties, not to exceed Two Hundred
Fifty ($250. 00) Dollars ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS
($100. 00) per annum.
Terms of membership on the Board shall be two (2) years
for the members representing the Board of Education and the
County Commissioners, three (3) years for the citizen member,
and the duration of the term of office of the member from The
Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission.
Members shall be eligible for reappointment. Vacancies shall
be filled for the unexpired term in the same manner as original
appointment.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1951.
