Board and shall meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday's of each
month us the Board of Road Commissioners of Charles
County.
Each County Commissioner, after assuming the addi-
tional duties as Road Commissioner shall receive an extra
compensation for such duties the sum of $600 per annum,
payable, quarterly and said County Commissioners shall
annually levy a sum sufficient to pay such additional com-
pensation. The Board of Road Commissioners also shall
be paid the sum of $500 annually for the expenses of the
Board.
On and after the date the County Commissioners as-
sume their duties as Road Commissioner, all references
in the local laws applicable to Charles County to the Board
of Road Commissioners shall be construed to mean the
County Commissioners acting as such Board, except where
such construction would be absurd or unreasonable.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1951.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sec-
tion 34 of Article 24 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Worcester County, "
sub-title "Berlin, " relating to the time for the levying
of taxes, when the taxes become due and delinquent and
when interest begins.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 34 of Article 24 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Worcester
County, " sub-title "Berlin, " be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
34. (a). The Mayor and Council once in each year
shall make a general levy of taxes on the assessable prop-
