purpose upon at least ten days' public notice thereof given
at the Principal Sunday service held in the particular
Church.
291X. If any provisions, phrase, or clause of this Act
or the application thereof to any person or circumstance
is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other pro-
visions, phrases, clauses or applications of this Act which
can be given effect without the invalid provision, phrase,
clause or application, and to this end the provisions,
phrases, and clauses of this Act are declared severable.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That Chapter 24 of
the Acts of 1798 and all Acts amending said chapter 24,
be and they are hereby repealed; AMENDED TO THE
TO THE EXTENT THAT SAID CHAPTER 24 OF SAID
ACTS OF 1798 AND SAID AMENDMENTS THERETO
SHALL HEREAFTER BE INAPPLICABLE TO PAR-
ISHES OF THE PROTESTANT EPISCOPAL CHURCH
IN BALTIMORE CITY AND IN GARRETT, ALLE-
GANY, WASHINGTON, FREDERICK, CARROLL, BAL-
TIMORE, HARFORD, HOWARD, ANNE ARUNDEL
AND CALVERT COUNTIES; provided, however, that
nothing herein contained shall affect the corporate exist-
ence of, or the validity of any proceedings heretofore
taken by, or the title to any real or personal property
belonging to, any corporation formed or organized or
Parish declared to be a corporation or organized under the
provisions of said Chapter 24 of the Acts of 1798, as
amended.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1951.
