(5). The Register of Wills of Anne Arundel, Dor-
chester, Howard and Prince George's Counties shall each
be entitled to receive the annual salary of $4, 000.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1951.

AN ACT to add twenty-two (22) new Sections to Article
23 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition
& 1947 Supplement), title "Corporations, " sub-title "Re-
ligious Corporations, " said new Sections to be known
as Sections 291C to 291X, inclusive, to be under sub-
heading "Protestant Episcopal Church, " and to follow
immediately after Section 291B of said Article, to in-
clude in said Article many of the provisions of Chapter
24 of the Acts of 1798 known as the Vestry Act, and
the amendments thereof, and to a?e^: peal AMEND said
Chapter 24 of the Acts of 1798 and the amendments to
said Act, TO THE EXTENT THAT SAID CHAPTER
24 OF SAID ACTS OF 1798 AND SAID AMEND-
MENTS THERETO SHALL HEREAFTER BE IN-
APPLICABLE TO PARISHES OF THE PROTEST-
ANT EPISCOPAL CHURCH IN BALTIMORE CITY
AND IN GARRETT, ALLEGANY, WASHINGTON,
FREDERICK, CARROLL, BALTIMORE, HARFORD,
HOWARD, ANNE ARUNDEL AND CALVERT
COUNTIES.

WHEREAS, the original Vestry Act of 1798, relating to
the organization and administration of the Vestries of the
Parishes of the Protestant Episcopal Church in the State
of Maryland, has been heretofore amended by Chapter
189 of the Acts of 1823, Chapter 20 of the Acts of 1827;
Chapter 136 of the Acts of 1828; Chapter 196 of the Acts
of 1833; Chapter 50 of the Acts of 1922; Chapter 498 of
the Acts of 1945 and Chapter 711 of the Acts of 1949; and
