20 of Article 101 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947
Supplement), title "Workmen's Compensation, " said new
sub-section to be known as sub-section (45B), to follow im-
mediately after sub-section (45A) of said Section and said
Article, and to read as follows:
20.
(45B) Janitors, window cleaners, porters, charwomen,
butchers, meat-cutters, employees who operate meat-
cutting or meat grinding machines, barbers, beauticians,
bell-hops, laborers, employees in tourist camps other than
office employees in such camps; bill collectors including in-
surance collectors, canvassers, insurance agents, grocery
and store employees except office employees in, such estab-
lishments; employees of hospitals, including only such em-
ployees in laundries, firemen, -engineers, carpenters, elec-
tricians, janitors and maintenance help; cemetery employ-
ees, such as grave diggers and maintenance employees in
graveyards, garage employees, gasoline filling and service
station employees, bartenders; restaurant employees, in-
cluding cooks, waitresses, bus boys, dishwashers and the
like, except office employees of restaurants,; chimney
sweeps, caretakers of buildings, grounds and trees, stage
hands, stage carpenters and stage electricians, embalmers,
employees in wholesale or retail pasteurizing and milk dis-
tributing plants except office employees in such plants.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1951.
