(House Bill 771)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
279A of Article 23 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land (1930 Edition), title "Wicomico County, " sub-title
"Salisbury, " said section having been enacted by Chapter 770
of the Acts of 1945, providing for an increase in compensation
of the Clerk of Salisbury from the revenues of the Municipal
Water Department.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 279A of Article 23 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Wicomico
County, " sub-title "Salisbury, " said section having been enacted
by Chapter 770 of the Acts of 1945, be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

279A. In addition to the salary provided for in the preceding
section, the Clerk of Salisbury shall receive the sum of [six
hundred dollars ($600. 00) ] Fifteen Hundred Dollars ($1500. 00)
each year to be paid in equal monthly installments from the
revenues of the Municipal Water Department.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1951.
