The provisions of this section shall be deemed to provide an
additional and alternative method for the doing of the things
authorized hereby, and shall be regarded as supplemental and
additional to any powers conferred by other laws, and shall
not be regarded as in derogation of any powers now existing.
All laws or parts of laws inconsistent with the provisions of
this section are hereby repealed to the extent of such incon-
sistency.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1951.

(House Bill 763)

AN ACT to add a new sub-section to Section 7 of Article 81
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947 Supplement), title
"Revenue and Taxes, " sub-title "Ordinary Taxes. What
Shall Be Taxed and Where, " said new sub-section to be
known as sub-section (36) and to follow immediately after
sub-section (35) thereof as said sub-section (35) was added
by Chapter 90 of the Acts of Regular Session of 1950, exempt-
ing from taxation the property, real and personal, owned by
any volunteer fire company or volunteer fire department in
the State of Maryland.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new sub-section be and it is hereby added to Sec-
tion 7 of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947
Supplement), title "Revenue and Taxes, " sub-title "Ordinary
Taxes. What Shall Be Taxed and Where, " said new sub-section
to be known as sub-section (36) and to follow immediately
after sub-section (35) thereof as said sub-section (35) was
added by Chapter 90 of the Acts of Regular Session of 1950,
and to read as follows:
